SuperGold app guide
The SuperGold smartphone app is the easiest way to find discounts and special offers when you're out and about. Whether you're close to home or travelling around New Zealand, the app helps your discover deals nearby.
Watch our short video to find out how easy it is to get the app, and use it to find great discounts and special offers. You will still need to show your SuperGold Card to get the discount or offer.
Downloading the app
You can download the SuperGold app for free from:
Apple App Store (for iPhone and iPad)
Google Play (for Android phones and tablets).
If you need help downloading or using the app:
ask someone who's confident with technology, or
call us on 0800 25 45 65 (Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm).

Apple devices
Works with iOS 11 and above (not compatible with iOS 10 or earlier).
Compatible with iPhone, iPhone Pro, iPad, iPad Mini and iPad Pro.
Compatible with Apple Voiceover.
Not supported on Mac OS Catalina Catalyst.
If your device is too old to upgrade the app, you can still access SuperGold via the website https://www.supergold.govt.nz.

Android devices
Works with Android 7 and above (not compatible with Android 6 or earlier).
May work on Android tablets, though performance can vary.

To check what version of Android you have, go to 'Settings' (it will typically look like an icon of a Gear, a toolbox or similar) and look for the option to view 'About this device' or similar. You should not upgrade your phone software without backing up your critical data – read more at this link.
Accessibility and performance
The app adjusts to your device’s screen size and text settings. You can use device and brand specific features to assist with viewing (for example, 3-finger tap for Apple screen Zoom).
Performance may vary depending on your device’s speed and internet connection
If the app is slow or not working, you can always use the SuperGold website instead.
If your internet connection is running well but the mobile app is not, please contact information@supergold.govt.nz and let us know.
Using the app
We may ask you to enter your client number and date of birth. This is so we can verify you're a cardholder. These details are not stored by the app or website.
The amount of data needed will vary depending on your usage.
Some SuperGold businesses will not appear on the map. This could be because:
they do not have physical premises, or
offers and discounts may have been restricted to where their services are available. For example online-only orders, or tradespeople like electricians and plumbers who only service particular areas.
