Targeted discounts for SuperGold Card holders

The latest SuperGold Card business recruitment campaign has signed up more businesses that provide dental and legal services discounts. Over 650 new businesses joined in this campaign including 60 dental practices and over 40 legal firms as well as other businesses offering services that incur unavoidable expenses.

Macular Degeneration NZ

Macular Degeneration is a progressive eye disease affecting 1 in 7 New Zealanders over 50. Macular Degeneration NZ is raising community awareness to encourage early referral for treatment which improves visual outcomes.

The 2015 programme is underway with free education and treatment seminars being held from June through to October in Whangarei, Kerikeri, Rotorua, Taupo, Waikanae, Levin, Nelson, Blenheim, Timaru, Wanaka and Invercargill.

Free seminars for people thinking of living in a retirement village

Commission for Financial Capability is running free seminars about living in retirement villages. These seminars are for intending retirement village residents and their families. The seminars focus on things to consider before choosing to live in a retirement village, as well as practical tips before you sign up, resident’s rights and where to find more information.

Speakers from the Commission, Retirement Village Association and legal profession will discuss types of retirement village structure, costs and operations. The seminars are 90 minutes long, include question and answer time, and light refreshments are provided.
