2,000 new reasons to visit the SuperGold Card website
More than 2,000 new businesses have joined the SuperGold Card programme in the last two months.
A recent recruitment drive has doubled the number of participating businesses overall, and increased the numbers in the provincial/rural areas, a key focus of the drive.
There are now over 3,600 participating businesses, representing more than 7,900 outlets nationwide.

New funding to support more war veterans
From 1 July 2012, more New Zealand veterans will be eligible for a War Disablement Pension.
War pension coverage is being extended to those who served in 10 additional military deployments, as part of a new initiative in Budget 2012.

Elder abuse - it's not ok
Every day there are 2-3 confirmed cases of elder abuse in New Zealand. Many more cases go unreported.
This issue was highlighted last month on June 15, Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

Tools to help you in your home
A new range of online tools are available to help older people keep up with repairs and maintenance so they can stay in their own homes and communities for longer.
Designed by the Good Homes research programme, the tools help people identify what work needs to be done and who is the best person to do it.
