Veterans’ Affairs New Zealand
Veterans' Affairs New Zealand exists to meet government's obligation to veterans through the provision of policy advice to the Government and service delivery to the veteran.

Rates Rebate Scheme
During the 2008/09 rating year, the Rates Rebate Scheme will provide a rebate of up to $530 for low income earners who pay rates on their own home, and in which they lived at the beginning of the rating year, 1 July 2008.

NZ Transport Agency
Older Driver Relicencing provides subsidies towards the cost of:
- an older driver licence application renewal fee and
- any on-road driving test.
Safe with Age is a road safety awareness and road rules refresher course for people over the age of 55.
These free courses are run by local groups, such as Age Concern and coordinated by the New Zealand Transport Agency.
People who complete a Safe with Age course are offered a subsidy for a practical coaching and assessment drive with a 'Safe with Age' approved driving instructor.

The Office for Senior Citizens
The Office for Senior Citizens provides policy advice to the Minister for Senior Citizens and government agencies on issues affecting older people. The role of the Office is to:
- lead, monitor and promote the New Zealand Positive Ageing Strategy
- promote the rights and interests of older people
- support the Minister for Senior Citizens.
